One-sixth of the world's corn supply is burned in American cars. That is enough corn to feed 350 million people for an entire year. Legislation requiring petrol to be mixed with ethanol has helped push food prices sky-high throughout the world hurting American consumers and starving many in poorer countries.(Source: RT News)
